Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Night Shift Union Helper to join our fire business unit in New York, NY. You will service, test, diagnose, and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring they remain functional and compliant.

Collaboration with a dispatcher and manager will help you complete work orders efficiently while maintaining equipment and tools. Qualified applicants have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in the fire alarm field, a valid driver's license, and FDNY S78/S98 certifications along with a NYC

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
2+ years of direct fire alarm industry work experience across multiple fire alarm system manufacturers.
Valid Driver's License required.
FDNY S78 Certificate of Fitness required.
FDNY S98 Certificate of Fitness required.
NYC SST Card required.

Responsibilities

Service, program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems.
Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for repair.
Replace system components as assigned (panels, alarms, etc.).
Provide technical support to customers including remote diagnosis and troubleshooting of signal issues.
Interact professionally with customers.
Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher to complete service orders.
Inform dispatcher/manager of service status for action.
Perform fire alarm inspections.
Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
