Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide preventive, reactive, and emergency maintenance across on-campus facilities. The role requires coordinating with the Facilities Maintenance team to serve the hospital campus and maintaining accurate CMMS records.

Expect responsibilities including environment of care inspections, regulatory compliance with Joint Commission and CMS, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• General commercial building maintenance responsibilities.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance scheduling.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Completes and updates CMMS work orders with labor and notes.
• Coordinates with Facilities team to serve hospital campus.
• Assists Safety and Facilities Director as needed.
• Supports on-call and backup coverage as required.
• Performs environment of care inspections and regulatory checks.
