Job summary

Tex-Trude in Channelview, TX, is hiring for a manufacturing position. You will set-up, start-up, operate and troubleshoot extrusion-related equipment, inspect parts for quality, and maintain a clean work area.

The role includes basic maintenance, die room upkeep, and training new staff while potentially operating a forklift as needed. The job requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and ability to work 12-hour shifts (7pm-7am) with occasional day

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• Safety oriented and able to follow procedures.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts (7pm-7am) and rotate to days for training.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, start-up, shut-down, operate and troubleshoot equipment (extruder, controls, water trough).
• Visually inspect production parts for quality.
• Perform basic maintenance and clean equipment.
• Keep die room organized and clean.
• Fill out labels and production logs.
• Assist supervisor in training new staff.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
