Job summary

Novolex is hiring an Operator Associate (Extrusion - D Shift) for Corsicana, TX. Starting pay is $20.27–$22.63/hour with a $1.50 night differential. Shift runs 7:00pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities include operating and starting/stopping extrusion machines, performing preventive maintenance, monitoring quality, troubleshooting issues, and completing production paperwork. Qualifications include machine operator or mechanical experience, strong communication and math skills, and the ability to work well

Qualifications

• Machine operator experience or equivalent maintenance/ mechanical experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical experience required.
• Must have good communication skills—written and verbal and be able to demonstrate basic math proficiency.
• Must be able to use tools as required.
• Demonstrated ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned Machines at required rate.
• Starts and stops machines.
• Perform maintenance tasks including changing hoses, valves, molds, and machine parts.
• Monitor machinery and bagging equipment operations for quality and efficiency.
• Diagnose/troubleshoot machine problems and adjust to maintain run rates.
• Perform line adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Maintain run efficiencies established for the line and products.
• Perform quality checks at prescribed intervals.
• Complete paperwork such as Operator Report and Quality Checks.
