Job summary

Salary ranges from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, plus $1 per hour shift differential. Higher starting wages may be offered for manufacturing experience, with opportunities for wage increases based on Employee

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with reading, writing, and basic math.
• Ability to use and interpret precision instruments, tools, machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work safely in a production environment; must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and duties.
• Good organizational skills; prioritize, manage time, and multi-task.
• US citizen or eligible to reside/work in US.
• Regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Adjust controls to draw product into specified diameter.
• Assist with changeovers on extrusion machines according to production line changes.
• Clean work areas.
• Load machine hoppers with mixed materials.
• Measure and examine extruded products for defects, and to check for quality conformance to specification; adjust controls as necessary to alter product.
• Reel extruded products into rolls of specified lengths.
• Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, temperature, and synchronize speed of extrusion.
• Document machine operating conditions and product measurements
• Report major process change to Production supervisor.
• Package product and move to staging area for quality control inspection.
• Performing other duties assigned by Production Supervisor
• 12-hour shifts to include weekend work will be required
• Accountable for understanding and putting into practice the SHE Principles.
