Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Emergency Services on the night shift.

You will care for a group of patients using the nursing process, collaborate with the health care team, supervise LPNs, aides, and technicians, and help ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The role requires RN licensure in Louisiana and current BLS/ALS/PALS certifications, with preferred ED experience.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame using the nursing process and teamwork.
• Supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care during the night shift in Emergency Services.
