Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a part-time night shift (12 HR). You will monitor patients, provide urgent care, and collaborate with the trauma team to stabilize and discharge as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and follows through with patient and family teaching.
• Identifies and documents initial observation and assessment of the patient's needs for immediate nursing action.
• Systematically and accurately assesses nursing needs of the patient to detect changes in the clinical picture.
• Plans, evaluates, and documents care based on assessment.
• Intervenes and documents to meet educational, psychosocial, and discharge planning needs.
• Initiates referrals to other departments/services for patient care.
• Communicates on shift-to-shift reports and collaborates with the care team.
