Job summary

UPMC Harrisburg is seeking a dedicated environmental services team member for the night shift. You will clean patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, following hospital procedures to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing supplies, inspecting areas, and reporting issues to the supervisor. You will move and clean equipment and comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or hospital cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety rules.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Manual dexterity to move equipment and clean facilities.

Responsibilities

• Make beds following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect areas to ensure cleaning and repairs; report problems to supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations as needed.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition; report problems to supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
