Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Professional I for the Night Shift to support infection prevention and patient safety across facilities in northern Michigan. This full-time role focuses on cleaning, disinfection, and maintaining a safe environment per policy.

Responsibilities include performing general and dismissal cleans, standing and walking most of the day, and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of hospital environmental service/housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Standing and walking much of the day; may require bending, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• Disinfect/clean assigned areas per Environmental Services procedures to control microorganisms.
• Prepare patient rooms for new admissions by staging the room in an aesthetically pleasing way.
• Maintain cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment; restock environmental services cart in neat order.
• Remove trash/recycling and soiled linen; replace sharps containers in patient rooms and procedure rooms.
