Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Gaylord, MI is seeking an Environmental Service Professional I for the full-time Day Shift (7am-3:30pm). The role supports infection prevention by performing general cleaning, disinfection, and environmental maintenance to provide a safe patient environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking, transporting supplies, and preparing rooms for new admissions, with mandatory PPE and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Standing and walking much of the day; may require bending, stretching, climbing ladders, lifting, pulling and pushing.
• Gloves, goggles, face shield, gown, mask, and hardhat must be worn as situation warrants and per Safety Standard Act guidelines.
• Disinfect/clean assigned areas following Environmental Services procedures to control microorganisms.
• Prepare patient rooms for new admissions by staging the room attractively.
• Maintains cleaning cart, supplies and equipment by stocking and organizing.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Services is frontline infection prevention; perform general cleans and discharge cleans.
• Operate and maintain EVS tools and equipment to clean and disinfect the environment.
• Transport furniture, equipment, clean linen and supplies as needed.
