Job summary

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, is seeking a Quality Control Technician – Environmental Monitoring in Elwood, KS. You will perform environmental monitoring, microbiology analyses, and support aseptic manufacturing processes in a 5pm–1:30am shift Mon-Fri.

The role requires a microbiology-focused background, strong documentation skills, and experience in a cGMP-regulated environment. Join a team dedicated to ensuring product quality and compliance across the manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in a laboratory or technical environment with microbiology focus.
• Strong aseptic technique and sterile gowning proficiency.
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine environmental monitoring (air and surface) and utility testing to ensure manufacturing environments meet quality standards.
• Conduct microbiology analyses including endotoxin, bioburden, TOC/Conductivity, and sterility testing on materials and products.
• Support aseptic process simulations and production fills; maintain gown qualification for sterile manufacturing.
• Lead lab stewardship activities: grow culture media, microbial identification, calibration support, inventory and safety upkeep.
• Assist in OOS/OOT investigations, draft/revise SOPs, and prepare method validation protocols and study reports.
