Job summary

Cherry County Hospital & Clinic is seeking an Ambulance EMT for night shifts on an as-needed basis in Valentine, NE. The EMT will respond to 9-1-1 calls, provide emergency medical care, and transport patients to facilities. On-call pay and call-back pay are included, with time-and-a-half for calls and on-call compensation.

The position requires EMT certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work under high pressure while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited EMT training program.
• Current EMT certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and high-stress situations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide appropriate medical care.
