Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited EMT training program required for licensing.
• BLS certification required; state license may be required depending on location.
• NIMS IC100, 200, and 700 completed; continuing education hours as mandated.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Stabilize and transport patients across non-emergency to life-threatening situations.
• Drive ambulance to assigned locations following dispatch instructions.
• Obtain patient history and vital signs; communicate with medical staff.
• Maintain ambulance clean, restocked, and ready for next call.
