UVM Health is seeking a Certified EMT (Critical Care) to support pre-hospital and hospital duties in accordance with NYSDOH EMS standards. The role focuses on life-saving care, patient transport, and collaboration with medical staff to ensure priority handling of ambulance calls.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, NYS EMT-CC certification, and a current BLS card; prior CC experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and EVOC training within a year of hire are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to read and understand medical terminology.
• New York State EMT Critical Care certification required; official docs accepted up to 3 months after exam date.
• Previous EMT CC experience preferred.
• Online status in Mountain Lakes Region required prior to orientation.
• Current and maintained BLS certification required.
• Pre-employment screening and physical required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; able to drive an ambulance.
• EVOC or equivalent within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Pre-hospital EMT CC duties defined by NYSDOH EMS certification standards.
• Ambulance and hospital duties as outlined by Medical Center policies.
• All ambulance calls take priority over other assignments.
