Job summary

Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Charlotte is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our fast-paced team. This full-time role supports hospital operations by delivering dedicated veterinary care and exceptional client service, including triage, examinations, and nursing duties.

The position offers a weekday 5PM-3AM schedule with benefits and opportunities for professional growth within PetVet Care Centers’ network.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• 2 years of relevant experience in veterinary field
• Preferred CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT certification or licensure

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examining and interviewing, reviewing care plans and records, performing labs and imaging
• Care for patients including vital signs, meds, vaccines, wounds
• Assist with examinations, surgeries, and triage; maintain records and supplies
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status as directed by the veterinarian
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and cleaning of clinical areas
