Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join its faculty as a Nocturnist in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care during overnight shifts while contributing to patient care, education, and academic development in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will manage a broad spectrum of acute illnesses and supervise medical residents, engage in departmental contributions, and participate in educational activities.

Competitive salary range of $300,000 to $315,000 per year offered, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency is required.
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care during overnight shifts.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of acute illnesses.
• Manage critically ill patients in collaboration with various teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
