Job summary

Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join our faculty as a Nocturnist. The Department of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School oversees a busy ED serving as a regional center for trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality overnight emergency care while contributing to education and scholarly activity in a fast-paced academic environment.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care during overnight shifts.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Manage critically ill and injured patients in collaboration with trauma, surgical, medical, and specialty teams.
• Supervise and educate Emergency Medicine residents, medical students, and APPs.
