Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Physician Assistant, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Seattle, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Emergency Medicine cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine.

You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ED patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients.

  • Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions.

  • Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

  • This is a .80 FTE position. Shifts are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

  • Work side-by-side with dedicated night Emergency Physicians on overnight shifts.

  • 24,000 annual visits in a moderate-acuity urban ED.

  • Exceptional specialty support for seamless patient care.

  • Comprehensive Stroke Center with on-siteNeurohospitalists.

  • Regional Hyperbaric Medicine Referral Center, offering unique clinical exposure.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
