Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to join our team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. This role supports physicians and provides basic nursing care and monitoring for patients with various conditions.

You will perform EKGs, point-of-care tests, vital signs, and documentation in the EHR, communicate with the RN, and educate patients and families about care. Qualifications include high school diploma and CPR/BLS certification; experience with Red Cross preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certified is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Documents in EHR; provides basic nursing care (ADLs), vitals, specimens, intake/output.
• Performs EKGs and point-of-care testing; monitors patient response.
• Completes tasks delegated by the RN; communicates with the RN and reports findings.
• Identifies problems and troubleshoot to find solutions.
• Educates patients and families for a clear understanding of care.
