Job summary

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• Two years recent experience in specialty area.
• Management experience preferred.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).
• NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, supervises and directs delivery of quality patient care.
• Coordinates department based activities and policies.
• Supervises nursing personnel on assigned unit/shift.
• Interprets department policies and participates in problem investigation.
• Facilitates change and initiatives to improve safety, quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Leads collaboration with the patient care team to uphold professional nursing practice.
• Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act.
