Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while coordinating with other providers and educating patients and families.

The role requires one year of acute care RN experience, current CA RN license, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one-year acute care RN experience.
• Current CA RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Relevant departmental certification as required (see addendum).

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients by collecting and documenting data from interviews, history, and physical exams.
• Obtain accurate assessment data and interpret normal vs. abnormal findings.
• Determine nursing diagnoses and monitor data consistent with patient stability.
• Care plans: safely perform and document nursing care per standards.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and monitor for adverse effects.
• Document patient/family education and understanding in the medical record.
• Provide emotional support and education to patient and family to promote self-care.
• Teach self-care and illness prevention to patient and family.
• Attend meetings and support departmental and hospital goals.
• Adhere to C-I-CARE standards of patient-centered care.
