Job summary

Cap America is seeking an embroidery operator at the Fredericktown, MO facility to produce orders per specifications. You will perform daily maintenance, monitor quality, and complete production records while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include evaluating sample runs for color, placement, and backing, preparing materials and tools, and coordinating with supervision on repairs and material availability. High attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good organization skills and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to work closely with others and communicate effectively.
• Must be punctual, dependable and have a positive work attitude.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing and pulling.
• Must possess basic computer and math skills.
• Career Readiness Certificate a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance duties and notify shift Supervisor when duties are completed.
• Determine if embroidery defects can be repaired at the operator’s machine; repairs must be completed before end of shift.
• Complete daily production records and return them to the shift Supervisor.
• Notify shift Supervisor or Maintenance personnel of equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain safe working conditions in the production area and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep machine area neat and organized for an efficient, attractive and safe work area.
• Other duties as requested.
• Watch first sample run to verify color sequence, placement, backing and thread colors.
• Anticipate requirements of upcoming orders: set up hooping, stage thread, prepare the machine work area, check for questions before setting up.
• Notify if materials are low or out of stock (Backing, Thread, Needles).
