Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Electrical Operations Shift Technician who will isolate and switch power equipment, terminate wiring, and complete maintenance work orders for buildings and equipment while ensuring adherence to applicable codes, corporate standards, and safety regulations.

This role also manages access permits, supervises contractor activities in electrical rooms, and supports inspection, testing, and troubleshooting tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of licensed electrical experience in industrial or large commercial environments.
• Ability to read line diagrams, electrical schematics, relay logic diagrams and wiring drawings.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, power quality analyzers).
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices (LOTO, arc flash, NFPA70E).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software.
• Texas Journeyman Electrician license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned and unplanned equipment isolation and load transfers using EDOR.
• Terminate and re-terminate wiring to support maintenance and other departments.
• Fulfill operations scope work orders for building and equipment maintenance.
• Perform minor repair work orders to ensure compliance and safety.
• Manage access permits and supervise contractor activities in Electrical Rooms.
• Assist maintenance and commissioning teams with inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support documentation and safety recordkeeping.
