Job summary

UPMC Harrisburg is seeking an interim Clinician for the Emergency Department. The role operates 7p-7a with options for 5-8 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts, and no weekends or holidays.

The Clinician leads staff, conducts evaluations, and supports staff orientation and training while coordinating clinical activities across the unit. The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, mentoring nurses, and aligning practice with patient safety and quality initiatives under unit

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by mentoring and modeling uplifting and positive communication.
• Coaches colleagues on cultural diversity and addresses workplace horizontal violence and impairment.
• Demonstrates accountability to self and others for safe work hours, time management and healthy lifestyles.
• Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement tools and techniques; integrates research and best practices into daily work.
• Mentors and role models continuous learning through formal education and development of others and assists with precepting student nurses and new staff.
• Implements goals to improve patient safety, quality and experience and disseminates knowledge across units.
