Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Emergency Department Holding in New York, NY. The role focuses on caring for admitted patients awaiting bed assignments, with an emphasis on thorough assessment, rapid coordination, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time with night shifts from 8pm to 8:30am. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, NY RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with preference for Medical/Surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.
• Current New York State RN license required, or willingness to obtain.
• BLS certification required, ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess patient conditions in the Emergency Department.
• Rapidly arrange multidisciplinary care for patients.
• Provide care and comfort to patients boarding in the Emergency Department.
• Float throughout the Emergency Department as needed.
• Collaborate with all members of the Emergency Department team.
