Job summary

XPO is seeking a Dockworker (Hostler) in Newark, NJ. This role moves trailers, operates pallet jacks and forklifts, and connects/disconnects dollys while adhering to safety policies.

You must be 18+ years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a pre-hire (physical essential functions) test. Shifts vary including days, evenings, nights and weekends; health insurance, PTO, holidays, 401(k), ESOP and education assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic math calculations ability
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass pre-hire physical tests
• Willingness to work varying shifts including days/evenings/nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Move trailers throughout the property
• Operate motorized and manual equipment (pallet jack, forklift)
• Load freight at least 1 day per week
• Work in all weather conditions on a loading dock
• Safely operate heavy equipment and adhere to safety policies
• Scan and track shipments with handheld devices
