Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Dock Worker/Forklift Operator for the night shift in White Pine, TN. You will load and unload freight, secure loads, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks across service center trailers. Attention to DOT guidelines and accurate shipment handling are essential.

The role supports warehouse operations and requires reading labels, using a dock yard system, and coordinating with service center personnel to keep deliveries on time.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of loading/unloading freight and proper securing methods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using motorized forklift or pallet jack.
• Inspect and secure freight with straps, airbags and other equipment.
• Read shipping labels and complete freight movement forms as needed.
• Operate within DOT guidelines and monitor shipments across the service center.
