Job summary

Porter Hills Village is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant Direct Care Supervisor in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead Resident Care Assistants and Medication Technicians, train staff, support residents’ daily needs, and promote a safe, respectful community.

A valid MA certificate, injections/wound care experience, and supervisory background are required. You will oversee clinical duties, medication processes, and regulatory adherence while fostering teamwork and compassionate care for the

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of lab draws or CPT certification.
• Competency evaluation by an RN Instructor/Trainer.
• Minimum 2 years as RCA/Med Tech in healthcare.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• Supervisory/lead role in fast-paced healthcare preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance to RCAs and MTs.
• Oversee RCAs and MTs with daily responsibilities.
• Coach, train, and mentor care staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations and onboarding.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing coverage.
• Support resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Document and communicate resident care and responses.
