Job summary

McLane is seeking a Mechanic II to perform a wide range of trailer refrigeration repairs and engine diagnostics in our shop. You’ll handle preventative maintenance, complex mechanical work, and roadside calls with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates bring diesel repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ASE PMI or similar certifications; a Class C license is required, A license preferred. Training is provided, with shift work and benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school in diesel/refrigeration preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance, and repairs.
• ASE PMI certification for Heavy-Duty Truck inspection is preferred; Class C license required (A preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform Grade 4 mechanic duties and preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units.
• Repair diesel engines, perform simple and complex mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; document work and ensure safety rules are followed.
