Qualifications

• ARRT or ARDMS credential in Sonography obtained within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
• If non-accredited program, at least 1 year of experience and then registration within 6 months.
• BLS Provider certificate obtained within 90 days of hire date or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts, identify patient, and gather relevant information.
• Produce high-quality ultrasound images by selecting appropriate factors and settings.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and understanding.
• Observe and document images, detect pathologies, and note abnormalities.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Provide written impressions to radiologists based on ultrasound findings.
