Job summary

ShopRite of Hamden is seeking a Night Crew Chief to lead the Night Crew department, directing all activities to meet sales, profit, Customer Experience and Associate Engagement goals under the Store Manager.

The position requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and ability to train and engage associates, with a focus on presenting products, safety compliance, and efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math and use basic computer functions.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Night Crew functions to meet department goals.
• Provide safety, friendliness, presentation and efficiency in daily tasks.
• Onboard, train, and engage associates; lead by example.
• Maintain proper staffing, schedules, and attendance compliance.
• Ensure accurate pricing, inventory, and department standards.
• Communicate with store management and other departments as needed.
