Job summary

ThinkOn is expanding its Data Center Operations team in New Albany, OH. This full-time Jr. Data Center Technician role is for the night shift, offering a salary range of US$47,000 to US$47,800 per year.

The technician will handle daily data center operations, customer interactions, ticketing, and installation tasks, ensuring security, system monitoring, and high-quality service. He/she will support escalations and vendor coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar critical facilities and IT support.
• Technical and mechanical knowledge of transport gear and critical infrastructure in telecom facilities.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, servers and networking.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security and environmental monitoring systems of the Data Center.
• Apply security policies and procedures.
• Validate that equipment is in good working condition (CRAC, UPS, PDU, Generators, etc).
• Conduct facility rounds and take readings and report findings.
• Take customer calls, open and document tickets, escalate to vendors as needed.
• Document interventions and keep ticketing system up to date.
• Perform cabling, racking, and pre/post work for onboarding and offboarding.
