Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates and take action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper temperatures are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify of needed repairs.
• Report accidents and any safety risks or illegal activity.
