Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a 3rd shift Custodian to perform custodial duties in Wisconsin Union buildings, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions. The role reports to the Custodial Services Supervisor and follows established safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and common areas, snow removal, and maintaining supply areas. The schedule is 40 hours per week, with rotating days on a 10:00pm–6:30am or 10:30pm–7:00am shift for Union South or

Qualifications

• 3 month work experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
• Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
• Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
• Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
• Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
