Job summary

Pine Island Public Schools is seeking a Night Lead Custodian for the 2:30pm–11pm shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends for events. The role leads the night custodial team, inspects facilities, and ensures a clean, safe environment district-wide.

Salary ranges from $18.51 to $22.77 per hour, depending on qualifications, with opportunities for training and advancement within the Buildings & Grounds team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Some experience as a school custodian or custodial service at other institutions.
• Demonstrate leadership, custodial, & mechanical ability.
• Knowledge of basic custodial techniques and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the night shift custodial team.
• Train new night custodians.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Oversee snow removal and salting during night shift.
• Set up activities as needed.
• Observe OSHA and safety regulations.
• Order custodial supplies as needed.
• Transport educational materials.
• Conduct health and safety inspections.
