Job summary

Daytona State College is seeking a custodial supervisor to manage night shift teams and ensure campus cleaning standards across residences, classrooms and facilities. Leadership, safety awareness, and hands-on cleaning duties are essential for this role.

You will inspect facilities, train staff on equipment and cleaning procedures, and coordinate with operations to maintain a clean, safe campus environment. Flexibility for additional hours and weekend coverage is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of recent, verifiable custodial cleaning, floor maintenance, and supervisory experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Forklift certification required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates all night shift employees.
• Performs building inspections and trains new staff on DSC equipment and cleaning standards.
• Cleans/sanitizes restrooms, surfaces, and high-touch areas across campus facilities.
• Operates college vehicles to retrieve supplies and attend departmental activities.
• Performs floor maintenance including vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by college leadership.
