Job summary

UCLA Health seeks an energetic Custodian for evening/night shifts at its Los Angeles facilities. Under supervision, you will maintain clean, safe spaces in patient care areas, offices, and public spaces, using a range of cleaning equipment and following UCLA Health infection prevention and safety standards.

The role involves handling cleaning chemicals, moving and storing supplies, and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe environment throughout UCLA Health facilities.
• Perform routine and specialized cleaning in patient care areas, nursing stations, exam and procedure rooms, offices, conference rooms, halls, and public spaces.
• Operate cleaning and floor care equipment and follow procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining surfaces.
• Clean isolation rooms, perform high- and low-level dusting, and maintain floors through sweeping, stripping, and waxing.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies; support infection prevention and safety standards.
