Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Custodian to support cleaning in patient rooms, nursing stations, exam spaces, offices and hallways under supervision. You will operate cleaning equipment and help maintain sanitary environments across multiple areas.

You will also assist in training new custodial personnel, ensure proper use and storage of cleaning solutions, and follow safety protocols to keep areas clean and welcoming for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning product storage and handling is required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing stations, exam rooms, offices, and hallways.
• Assist in training new custodial personnel.
• Operate vacuum cleaners, buffers, shampoo machines and floor machines as assigned.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
