Job summary

Compass Group USA ESFM division in Byhalia, MS seeks a full-time Janitor to maintain clean and orderly facilities. Duties include heavy cleaning, floor care, and trash disposal in alignment with infection-control procedures. Eligible applicants have at least one year of janitorial experience. Position offers night shifts with weekend options.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of janitorial experience required.
• Keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Follows infection control procedures and workplace cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment; sanitizes all surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor and adheres to guidelines.
