Job summary

Delta Sky Club in Detroit, MI is hiring for a full-time Janitor. Schedule is 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with weekends required; days may vary. This role requires one year of janitorial experience and offers a fixed hourly rate.

The position involves cleaning floors, walls, glass, and removing rubbish; you will move and arrange furniture for cleaning and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of janitorial experience required.
• Full-time position.
• Schedule: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM, days may vary. Weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp–mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Uses assigned materials and equipment to clean assigned areas and sanitizes all surfaces, following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
