Job summary

GDI.com is seeking a Janitor for their Dearborn location to ensure a clean and sanitary environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting offices, restrooms, and common areas, and performing various maintenance duties.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and must be available for two shifts: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-1:30AM or 5:00PM-9:30PM. Previous experience is preferred but not required.

Job description

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash, and restocking supplies as needed.

The position requires following established cleaning procedures, using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, reporting maintenance or safety concerns, and ensuring all areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards. The Janitor must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team, and committed to providing a clean and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
