Salary Information

HIRING RANGE : $18.58 – $21.28 per hour based on experience.

Job Summary

Keep buildings or portions of campuses neat, clean, and sanitary for use by the college community.

Essential Functions

Thoroughly clean restrooms daily using proper specified procedures as determined by supervisor.

• Perform various building cleaning tasks including but not limited to: clean and vacuum carpets; maintain hard surface flooring; remove all trash and recycle materials; clean chalkboards, whiteboards, ledges and erasers; clean glass; wash windows; dust furniture; clean ceiling diffusers; clean trash cans; clean walls; clean out janitor’s closets; make repairs to equipment; other tasks as required or needed.
• Order and maintain appropriate custodial supplies from Physical Plant warehouse. Report building maintenance problems to Physical Plant, repair items, assist students, staff and instructors, lock and secure buildings before leaving.
• Maintain entryways including light snow removal.
• Complete on-going training on operation of all equipment, safety regulations, and use of new products and techniques.
