onsemi in Hopewell Junction, NY is seeking a Central Utility Plant Technician to operate and monitor critical utility systems on the night shift, with a compressed work week. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and related equipment.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, with eligibility based on employment; first payout within 30 days and four quarterly payments thereafter. The position requires a high school diploma and basic mechanical aptitude.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn plant operations.
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts on a rotating schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, operate, and adjust plant equipment (boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.).
• Perform routine inspections and log readings of all utility systems.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal system conditions.
• Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and reports.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with teammates during shift turnover.
• Support emergency response as needed.
