Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology.
• Current ARRT registration in Radiography (RT(R)) without restriction; CT registration required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans of head, body and extremity scans.
• Performs interventional CT scans for biopsies or drainage.
• Position patients carefully to obtain examinations according to protocols.
• Applies shielding and adheres to ALARA principles.
• Mentors student technologists during clinical rotations.
• Place orders and charges in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Provide preparatory instructions and collect required patient data.
• Coordinate with ordering physicians and obtain pertinent history.
