Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, WI. The role involves operating imaging equipment, preparing patients, administering contrast when needed, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include performing radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable exams when required, corroborating clinical history, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Radiographer experience preferred.
• CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures.
• If assigned radiographer duties, performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable exams.
• Corroborates patient history with procedure for radiologist.
• Prepares patients and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
• Operates imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures.
• Positions patients to best demonstrate area of interest while respecting comfort.
• Maintains aseptic technique and administers contrast media as appropriate.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary.
• Provides patient education and input for equipment decisions.
