Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is assisting Tucson, AZ with a Night Shift ICU physician covering critically ill patients on a locum basis. The role includes supervision of ventilators, invasive procedures, and continuous patient assessment in an inpatient ICU setting.

Requirement: board-certified physician with AZ license or IMLC, BLS/ACLS/ABLS; Epic EMR experience; night shifts 5:30 PM–5:30 AM, ASAP – ongoing, travel and malpractice insurance covered.

Qualifications

• Board certification in critical care or internal medicine.
• Active AZ license or IMLC (Universal License).
• BLS, ACLS, ABLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide advanced respiratory support for critically ill patients.
• Perform invasive procedures including central line placement, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and bronchoscopy with BAL.
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues, including hemodynamic monitoring with PA catheter.
• Conduct daily rounds on unassigned patients, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and respond to rapid response calls.
• Provide nighttime ICU coverage, including admissions, taps, and lumbar punctures.
