Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Critical Care Paramedic to deliver advanced pre-hospital and inter-facility patient care. You will maintain documentation, function within state TN scope, and participate in ongoing training and quality improvement.

The role requires a Paramedic License with a TN Critical Care Endorsement and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/PHTLS certifications. Night shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) are available in Nashville and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• Paramedic License with Critical Care Endorsement in TN (out-of-state candidates may obtain within 12 months)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS
• 3 years of related work experience in critical care transport or EMS settings

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages care per LifeFlight and VUMC standards; independently plan, deliver, and evaluate safe, age-specific care for patients within TN and Vanderbilt scope
• Maintains clinical proficiency and compliance with regulatory standards
• Participates in improvement activities and problem solving projects
• Reviews current research and applies findings to evidence-based practice
