Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Night Cook to support meals for patients and staff in our nursing center. You will prepare foods according to menus and production sheets, portion desserts and nourishments, and help with service and clean up.

The role emphasizes sanitation, safety, and clear communication; prior food service and long-term care experience are preferred. Evening shifts with opportunity for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic sanitation, organization and safety knowledge.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
