Job summary

Crafted Staff in McElhattan, PA seeks a Controls / Automation Technician to support production by troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing control systems for safe operation and high line reliability. This hands-on role suits an electrical technician with automation experience, night shift availability (7:00 pm–7:00 am), and a direct-hire path in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Electronics and 3+ years of industrial experience; PLC and HMI

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent required.
3+ years of industrial experience.
Proficiency with PCs, controls programming software, and office apps.
Working knowledge of electrical theory and operation principles.
Knowledge of controller-based hardware and software systems.
Strong communication and analytical skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and calibrate electrical sensors.
Troubleshoot, repair, commission electrical control devices (drives, servos, motors).
Troubleshoot PLC and HMI hardware; manage I/O and networks.
Diagnose system issues with PLCs, HMIs, and servo systems.
Make minor PLC/HMI/servo program changes to aid troubleshooting.
Perform wiring and programming changes on production equipment as needed.
Provide electrical preventive maintenance and support engineers.
