Job description

Night Shift Control Room Operator

Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Control Room Operator is responsible for performing all required duties and operating all necessary equipment to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the Flaking department supersacks, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within a designated period following hire;

Experience:

  • Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings;
  • Preferred: Stand-up forklift experience, including reach trucks;
  • Computer skills (basic navigation and competency).
IV. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Inspect materials and products for defects and conformance to specifications;
  • Record production and operational data;
  • Operate machinery controls to start, stop, or adjust equipment;
  • Weigh or measure materials for quality assurance;
  • Mark and identify materials, products, and samples;
  • Maintain machinery and work areas for safety and efficiency;
  • Handle materials using industrial trucks or hand trucks;
  • Package, stack, and transfer materials and products;
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts;
  • Verify product quality and weight;
  • Utilize sealing machines for bag filling;
  • Transport finished products into storage;
  • Operate equipment such as supersack and filling machines;
  • Perform washouts, changeovers, and material handling tasks;
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization per 5S standards;
  • Perform autonomous maintenance on equipment;
  • Manage inventory via electronic scanning and paperwork;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies;
  • Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all regulations and standards.
